Who took over the empire after Kublai Khan died? How did he know him?

    After Kublai Khan killed himself from drinking and starvation someone just had to take over. This person was very  important to Kublai Khan because they were both venetian travelers. His name  was Marco Polo and he traveled all through out Italy, Asia, and China and thats how he met Kublai just going all over the world even though back then they thought the world was flat and you would just fall off and never be seen again. I thought people were supposed to be SMART back then!

What was Kublai Khan's influence on China?

    Kublai Khan improved the areas of China during the "Yuan Dynasty" with many new roads to make traveling easier, lots of canals, and buildings with more space. Kublai also helped the less fortunate with pursuing their dreams (WHOA LUCKY!)that he could afford and bought many new astronmy books so people could teach themselves the names of the stars. Why can't people do this now??

How did Kublai Khan die?

    After his first and favorite wife died Kublai Khan was very deppressed because one after one was just leaving him there for his own death. But sadly he just couldn't take the feeling of being alone anymore and drank, (OVER THE LIMIT!) then suddenly a gout started even though he wore special slippers made from fish skin ,(talk about GR-OSS!) and after just a couple of painful years, (and memories) Kublai Khan starved himself to death and died on Febuary 12, 1294.

What did Kuabli Khan do besides build?

    Since his grandfarthers (Khengis Khan's) death Kuabli Khan led the Mongols in the famous "Conquest of China". After that hubbabuloo he had the experience of being the very  first outsider to take over China as the emperor. While he was emperor he supported works of the Chinese artists so they could make a living. Also, he married many women to have lots of kids so they could carry on the royal name of "Khan" and hopefully set the same example their farthers did.

What did Kublai Khan do after his Grandfarthers death?

    Even though Gramps was LONG   gone he still mourned him by planting grass in the far northen part of the palace he had in Beijing, then in August all his family members came and performed a 'special' ritual by pouring horse milk on the ground (totally ew! What if you stepped in it??) and calling for his Granddaddy while wandering the place of his death. Even LONGER  after the death Kublai Khan took the place that his old man had and led the Mongols through China!
