Even though Gramps was LONG gone he still mourned him by planting grass in the far northen part of the palace he had in Beijing, then in August all his family members came and performed a 'special' ritual by pouring horse milk on the ground (totally ew! What if you stepped in it??) and calling for his Granddaddy while wandering the place of his death. Even LONGER after the death Kublai Khan took the place that his old man had and led the Mongols through China!
